About This Site

Chaves County Busted Mugshots is a private reference site about the official sources that may hold local arrest, booking, or court records. It does not collect or display booking-photo galleries. Instead, it distinguishes the county detention system from Roswell Police Department records and explains why the source boundary matters.

Our Local Record Map

Chaves County does not have one verified public source for every arrest or booking photograph. The Chaves County Detention Center is the county custody contact, but its official page did not show a public roster or a photo-publication policy when reviewed. For a Roswell Police matter, the city identifies RPD P2C as an online resource for incident and arrest reports and booking photos. A later court result belongs in New Mexico Case Lookup, while a sentenced state prisoner may appear through the New Mexico Corrections Department offender search.

We organize those source boundaries, official contact details, and request routes in one place. An arresting agency, a detention facility, a court, and NMCD may each hold different information. A public search result is not proof of current custody, and a booking allegation is not a conviction.

What We Provide

Our records-reference material is built around the actual Chaves County source landscape rather than a list of names or photos.

  • Official lookup paths for Chaves County detention, Roswell Police records, courts, and state custody.
  • Agency-specific context for Roswell, Dexter, and Hagerman, whose public-record options differ.
  • Directions for a focused county or city records request under New Mexico's Inspection of Public Records Act.
  • Explanations of the difference between a booking record, a custody question, and a later court disposition.

Limits of This Service

We are privately operated and are not connected with Chaves County, the Chaves County Sheriff's Office, the detention center, Roswell Police Department, NMCD, or any other government agency. We cannot release or transfer a person, confirm a current hold or release, post bond, arrange visitation, send money, issue legal advice, or obtain a government record for a reader.

  • Only the responsible agency can certify a record, a charge, or a current custody status.
  • Only a court can enter a disposition, sealing order, or expungement order.
  • Only the originating custodian can correct its official record.
  • External offices, contacts, fees, and access rules can change after a page is published.

Search Partner Disclosure

Some search boxes on this site are operated by independent providers with their own results, data practices, and pricing. If a partner tool leads to a paid enrollment, we may receive a referral fee that helps support this free reference site. We do not set a partner's price, control its results, or guarantee that its service will match an official Chaves County record.
